Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms & Jurisdiction

By accessing, browsing, registering for, or using StoryK.in ("StoryK", "Platform", "We", "Us", or "Service"), you agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). This agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any legal dispute, claim, or proceeding arising out of or relating to StoryK shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent Courts in India.

2. Description of Service & License

StoryK is a cloud-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that enables creators and businesses to draft video scripts, synthesize neural voiceovers, search licensed stock media, apply animated subtitles, render vertical short-form videos (YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels), and automate multi-platform social media publishing and analytics. Subject to compliance with these Terms, StoryK grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Platform for personal or commercial video creation.

3. User Account Responsibilities & Security

• You must be at least 18 years of age (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account on StoryK.
• You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all actions conducted under your account.
• Account sharing, unauthorized credential reselling, or circumventing plan quotas is strictly prohibited and constitutes grounds for immediate account suspension without refund.

4. Third-Party Social Media Integrations (Meta & YouTube)

StoryK provides optional integrations allowing creators to publish videos and track performance across third-party social platforms, including Instagram, Facebook Pages, and YouTube Channels:

• Publishing Authorization: By connecting your Instagram, Facebook, or YouTube account via OAuth, you grant StoryK technical permission to format, schedule, and publish video content, captions, thumbnails, and tags on your behalf as directed by you.
• Compliance with Platform Rules: You agree to comply fully with all applicable third-party platform rules, including the Meta Platform Terms, Instagram Community Guidelines, Facebook Page Guidelines, and YouTube Community Guidelines.
• User Responsibility for Content: You retain complete responsibility for the nature, legality, accuracy, and copyright compliance of all content published to your connected social channels. StoryK does not pre-screen, censor, or claim ownership of your published social media posts.
• Platform Independence: StoryK is an independent software tool. We are not responsible or liable for any actions taken by third-party platforms, including post rejections, account suspensions, engagement fluctuations, copyright strikes, or API rate limit changes imposed by Meta, YouTube, or other providers.
• Disconnection & Revocation: You may disconnect any connected social account at any time through your StoryK dashboard settings, which immediately halts automated publishing and revokes stored API tokens.

5. Prohibited Content & Compliance with Indian Laws (BNS 2023 & IT Act)

You agree NOT to use StoryK to generate, compile, render, or distribute any content that violates Indian law, including the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (BNS), Information Technology Act, 2000, or applicable international laws. Specifically, you agree NOT to generate or distribute:

• Content promoting hate speech, violence, communal tension, terrorism, or unlawful acts.
• Defamatory, obscene, pornographic, sexually explicit, or child exploitative material.
• Deepfake videos, deceptive impersonation of individuals or public officials, or deceptive political election interference.
• Unverified or dangerous medical claims, fraudulent financial schemes, pyramid scams, or deceptive misinformation.
• Content that infringes upon the copyright, trademark, trade secret, or privacy rights of any third party.

6. Intellectual Property Rights & Video Ownership

• Your Generated Videos: You own the final video files rendered through your account, including the commercial publication and monetization rights, subject to third-party stock media and audio license terms.
• Stock Media Licensing: Visual clips and music tracks integrated via Pexels, Pixabay, or Coverr APIs are provided under their respective royalty-free licenses for commercial use. Users must ensure that their composite videos comply with social platform copyright rules.
• StoryK Platform IP: All proprietary code, algorithms, software architectures, user interfaces, branding, and templates are the exclusive intellectual property of StoryK.in.

7. AI Technology Disclaimer & Legal Limitation of Liability

StoryK utilizes artificial intelligence Large Language Models (LLMs) and neural speech synthesis. AI outputs are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without express or implied warranties:

• StoryK does NOT guarantee that generated videos will achieve specific view counts, subscriber growth, monetization approvals, or viral performance on social platforms.
• StoryK shall NOT be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of revenue, channel demonetization, copyright strikes, or social account restrictions.
• In no event shall StoryK's total cumulative liability exceed the total subscription fees paid by you to StoryK in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

8. Fair Use, System Integrity & Account Suspension

To ensure cloud server stability, GPU cluster availability, and fair access for all creators, StoryK enforces automated rate limits. StoryK reserves the right to immediately suspend or terminate any user account that engages in automated scraping, API reverse-engineering, payment fraud, or server denial-of-service attempts without prior notice or refund.

9. Non-Affiliation & Trademark Disclaimers

StoryK is an independent SaaS productivity application. StoryK is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or associated with Meta Platforms, Inc., Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Google LLC, or TikTok. All platform names and logos are trademarks of their respective holders.
